Pine cone laced with fruit in the taste. Balanced tea.

Absolute hit of 2016. Excellent value for money.

Smell: Roasted Hay, Orange Peel, Cattails
Taste: Orange Blossom and Rose petals. Floral and Sweet. Citrus and sour candy. Honey and Cinnamon.
Nice balance and the flavors come in layers as you drink it. Reminds me of the barrel-char and orange bitters in an old fashioned. One of my favorite Jin Xuan teas that I have found.

This certainly is a black tea by characteristics, despite its rolled leaves. Nothing that resembles oolong in taste and aroma either.
It has got an intensely sweet dried-fruit aroma heavily laced with sweet spices. I'm thinking brown sugar, dates, cinnamon, nutmeg.
No bitterness nor astringency in the brew.
The wet leaves smell kinda like burnt sugar with its slight smokiness.
This is an easy to drink type of tea. Suitable as an everyday tea. Good stamina too.
